Janie founded Special Assignments in 1989 with the supportive involvement of family and friends. Her favorite part of the work is servicing customers out in the field and problem solving new projects. She manages our Buford office and continues to proudly lead the SA team to serve its loyal customer base. 

CEO & Account Manager

Sallie started her career with Special Assignments, Inc. in 1999. Today, she services Dawson County, Jackson County and everywhere in between. Over her 22 years of experience, she has created many effective relationships that have helped her master the art of permit acquisition. She is committed to keeping an open line of communication with her customers to ensure the fastest turnaround possible. 

Permit Expediter & AM Scheduler

Kenny has always contributed to Special Assignments but officially signed-on in 2013 after retiring from the U. S. Postal Service. He currently handles administrative duties in our Buford office and runs permits for communities in the North Central areas of metro Atlanta.

Thomas joined us in 2019 after leaving the transportation industry to map out the territories for Special Assignments' future business plan. He continues to serve our long-distance customers and most enjoys scouting potential service areas and communities to expand Special Assignments' reach.

Permit Consultant & Expediter 
 

Keely has been with Special Assignments since 2017. She began with part time duties in the Buford office and, over time, developed her involvement into permitting projects in Gwinnett and Fulton areas. She enjoys working with people and servicing customers from start to finish of the permit process.

Kelly's expertise in permitting has developed into an efficient, organized, and customer service-oriented process. She has been working and problem solving with Special Assignments since 2001. She most enjoys developing relationships with our customers and the personnel in the various departments in order to get permits handled as fast as possible. 

CFO & Special Projects
 

Stephanie joined us in 1989 as a backseat co-pilot on permit runs with founder Janie Sutton. She now works on special projects remotely from the Charlotte, NC area. She specializes in accounting, technical support, design, photography, and other creative jobs for the business team.
